Los Angeles/West Hollywood Bachelorette Party

Hey guys! I think writing about my friend’s bachelorette parties is my new favorite thing. This post is a little late, because this bachelorette party took place last July, but better late than never right?!

Last month I wrote about my sister’s relaxing Napa Valley bachelorette, so if you’re looking for something a little more low-key, check out that post!

Where We Stayed

We flew into LA on the morning of July 5th, and took a shuttle out to the Montrose West Hollywood, where we stayed for our entire trip. The Montrose is a super trendy boutique hotel, and we loved our stay! Every evening there was a “free wine” happy hour, where we hung out on the back porch, and sipped as much wine as our little hearts desired (which was a lot – it’s a bachelorette party after all). They also had the best truffle fries I’ve ever had. We spent Sunday afternoon hanging out at the rooftop pool, which was just what we needed after a couple days or partying. The bartender was amazing, and I even tried my first bloody mary.

The location of the Montrose was perfect for our needs! My friend is a big fan of the show Vanderpump Rules, so naturally we had to be close to Sur and TomTom. We were within walking distance from both places, which was great. If you’re planning on exploring the city, be prepared to spend some money Ubering/Lyfting around.

Where We Went – Daytime

Since we arrived Friday morning, we had the whole day to play around LA! We were starving, so we walked around West Hollywood a bit, and ended up at State Social House for lunch. After a few drinks, we took a couple cars down to the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and decided to be basic tourists for the afternoon! We looked for the stars of our favorite celebs, and even took a van tour of celebrity homes. We definitely don’t recommend the latter if you have motion sickness, and have already had a few drinks. There is a chance that you will end up throwing up in a bag outside Chevy Chase’s house…

After our tourist escapades, we made our way back to the hotel for food and relaxation! While the bride took a nap, myself and a few of the other girls decorated her room! To see what we used to decorate, scroll down to the “Shop The Party” paragraph!

On Saturday we decided to hit the beach! We took a couple cars over to Venice beach for the day. The first place we went to eat was called James Beach. We weren’t ready for a huge meal yet, so we got a few apps and some drinks! I had a couple mango mimosas that were so good! After some pictures on the beach, and a few scooter rides down the street, we headed to Cabo Cantina for their mega margaritas.

Like I said earlier, Sunday was our relaxing day. We hung out by the pool, and enjoyed each others company for our last full day in West Hollywood.

Where We Went – Night Time

Our favorite place to go at night was definitely TomTom! The atmosphere was fun and upbeat, and the drinks were delicious (but pricy, be sure to factor that in your planning if you’re used to cheap college town drinks). My favorite was the Madame Butterfly. We also went to Sur, The Abbey (the perfect bachelorette party spot), Whisky A Go Go, and Rainbow Gar & Grill.
